What's new

Pelori is in active beta. Here's what's shipped recently, newest first. We'll add a version label to each entry once 1.0.0 is out.

May 2026

Settings tab + About page

The bottom-nav "Profile" tab is now Settings, grouped under a gear icon. Inside, a new About tab gathers feedback, data export, the legal links, and a brand About dialog showing the build's version. The Delete account button moves here too. The first tab keeps your account fields (name, language, country, sign out).

App version on the splash + About dialog

The brief loading screen between the launch animation and the first ride list now shows the wordmark, a spinner, and the installed version number. Tapping Settings → About → About Pelori opens a dialog with the same version + the open source licenses Pelori bundles.

Per-category notification controls

Profile → Notifications has four new toggles so you can opt out of any push category individually: ride reminders, RSVP responses, chat messages, and schedule changes. Three of those are new pushes too — the only one we sent before was the timed reminders. Defaults are all on; opt out of what you don't want, the rest keep flowing.

May 2026

Inactive-member badge + auto-remove toggle

A new Inactive chip appears on a member's row in the ride if they haven't opened Pelori for 30 days — a glanceable signal for organisers chasing RSVPs. Ride owners can flip on Auto-remove inactive members in Ride settings → Who, and once a day Pelori prunes anyone who's gone quiet. Owners are exempt; pending invitees are skipped; brand-new members with no activity yet are left alone.

Full rules on the FAQ page.

Ride lifecycle: dormant → archived → deleted

Rides that go quiet now move through three stages instead of lingering in Discover forever. After 90 days without activity a ride goes dormant (hidden from Discover, members keep full access). After 180 days it's archived (invisible to everyone except the owner; notifications stop). At 270 days the ride and its history are deleted. Any human interaction at any stage flips the ride straight back to active and resets the clock.

Push notifications

Server-side push for time-sensitive ride moments. Per-ride organisers set RSVP-nag and going-reminder lead times in hours; Pelori fires the matching push at the right time. Foreground delivery uses a high-priority FCM channel so the banner appears immediately rather than batching under the OS doze rules.

April 2026

Open beta

iOS via TestFlight, Android via Google Play Internal Testing. First wave of feedback shaping what ships next.
