Delete your Pelori account
If you'd like to delete your Pelori account and the data we hold about you, here are the two ways to do it.
In the app (fastest)
- Open Pelori on your iPhone or Android device.
- Sign in if you aren't already.
- Tap Profile in the bottom navigation.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm.
Deletion is immediate. The button removes your Cognito user, every ride you organise (and the membership / RSVP / chat / attendance rows tied to it), every membership you hold in someone else's ride, every chat message you have posted, every RSVP you have submitted, and your profile picture. It is not recoverable.
Email request (no app required)
If you no longer have the app installed or cannot sign in, email hello@pelori.fit from the email address linked to your Pelori account, with the subject line:
Account deletion request
Include "delete my account" anywhere in the body. We respond and process the deletion within 30 days of receipt, in line with GDPR and CCPA timelines.
What we delete
- Your Cognito user — email, name, date of birth, country, preferred language, profile picture.
- Every ride you organised (and the membership / RSVP / chat / attendance rows tied to it).
- Every membership you held in someone else's ride.
- Every chat message you posted.
- Every RSVP you submitted.
- Your profile picture from S3.
What we don't delete
- Anonymous analytics events. Firebase Analytics receives counts of in-app actions (sign-up, screen views, RSVPs) tagged with an anonymous Firebase instance ID, not your account. There is no way to map an event back to a specific account, so deletion of these events isn't applicable. They roll off automatically per Firebase's default retention.
- Anonymous crash diagnostics. Sentry holds anonymised crash reports without identifying details and rolls them off after 90 days.
- Operational logs. AWS CloudTrail and DynamoDB Streams retain request metadata (timestamps, request IDs) that does not include the contents of your account, kept per AWS defaults.
